The second edition of the Cádiz Global Cup wrapped up its 2026 chapter in style. Held from June 19 to 21 in Puerto Real, Chiclana de la Frontera, and El Puerto de Santa María, the international youth soccer tournament driven by Nomadar Corp. (Nasdaq: NOMA) once again proved that Cádiz is far more than a sports venue: it’s a global platform for sports tourism. The numbers confirm the project’s growth: this edition brought together 600 players across 36 teams, with more than 4,000 attendees over three days of competition, a 12.5% increase in participation and a 60% rise in total attendance compared to the first edition, held in 2025 with 584 players, 32 teams, and 2,500 attendees.

One of the tournament’s biggest draws is its international scope. Through the alliance with Global Soccer Development (GSD), the Cádiz Global Cup welcomed players from U.S. cities including Tampa, Miami, Atlanta, Austin, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Washington D.C., many accompanied by their families, generating a direct impact on local hospitality, dining, and commerce throughout their stay in the province. The opening ceremony, held at Atenas Playa (Chiclana), brought together authorities such as Cádiz CF president Manuel Vizcaíno and Chiclana mayor José María Román, setting the institutional and festive tone for the event.

The tournament was played across the Alevín 1, Alevín 2, Infantil 1, Infantil 2, and Cadete categories, with a Sunday final stage that featured top-tier clubs including Sevilla FC, Málaga CF, Recreativo de Huelva, and Cádiz CF itself. Cádiz CF was crowned champion in Alevín 1, Alevín 2, and Infantil 1, while Recreativo de Huelva took the title in Infantil 2 and Conil CF won the Cadete category.

Behind the tournament’s success is a solid network of sponsors and institutions, including the Diputación de Cádiz, the Ayuntamiento de Chiclana as host municipality, Cádiz CF, Global Soccer Development, Nomadar Corp., and Atenas Playa Beach Club Restaurant a combination of public institutions, professional clubs, and private partners that allows the event to keep growing edition after edition. Pablo Sánchez, Nomadar’s Director of International Programs, noted that the Cádiz Global Cup “confirms Cádiz’s potential as an international meeting point for youth soccer development,” highlighting how the tournament blends competition, community, and a full tourism experience. Echoing that sentiment, Eddie Loewen, CEO of Global Soccer Development, said the alliance represents “an extraordinary platform for international development and the growth of young players.”

Beyond the scoreboard, the Cádiz Global Cup once again brought together high-level competition, internationalization, and tourism promotion in a single event. With renewed backing from its partners, the organization is already planning its third edition, aiming to further expand its reach and cement the province’s status as a benchmark for international youth soccer.
